The Association of Retired Santa Clara County Fire Department Employees exists to support, promote, and preserve the health and welfare of all retired Santa Clara County Fire Department employees. Santa Clara County Fire Department would not exist without the service, dedication, and sacrifice of retired fire department employees.

Goals of the organization

  • To promote awareness of benefits and rights of pending and current retirees
  • Develop an informational packet (pers, workers comp reporting requirements,insurance including both health and end of life)
  • Social organization
  • To provide a support network
  • Develop regional lists of retirees
  • Develop a pathway of communication with SCCFD for retiree issues
  • Interact Local 1165 as needed
  • Interact with other retiree organizations
